Nick Ross

PhD Student

Nick Ross is a PhD Student in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the University of Exeter, undertaking research in the Gamification of Optimisation of Water Distribution Systems. His BSc was in Computer Science with Games Development (with Industrial Experience) from the University of Hull, during which time Nick worked for a year at HIVE (the Hull Immersive Visualisation Environment). This involved developing Virtual Reality software for the fire service and other industrial partners, using the Unity and Unreal game engines. Research interests include gamification, serious games, artificial intelligence, genetic algorithms, and other nature inspired computational techniques
