The first HOWS project Technical Advisory Group (TAG) meeting was held at Exeter this week. The TAG, comprising representatives from the water industry, visualisation and optimisation experts from technology companies as well as academic partners, is vital to the project's success as they will be active in steering the design of interactive optimisation tools, as well as evaluating their potential.
Principal Investigator Prof. Dragan Savic said: "We already had pretty good feedback from our industrial partners today who told us what they are expecting from us and over the next three years. We are hopeful to develop something that will grow in application over the years - we will develop prototypes that they can test, debug and they can use them in everyday engineering work".
The next meeting of the TAG will be in 2018, when the team will report on the first year's project outputs.
